Quality and Food Safety are most important to us, that is why our professional team includes qualified Viticulturists who gives ongoing support and advice to all our producers throughout the year. They provide assistance to all our producers to ensure their drying facilities are up to the highest standards and comply to be approved by the South Africa's Department of Agriculture and PPECB.

Our Company History

Carpe Diem Raisins proudly sources its products from a network of approximately 120 dedicated growers located in the fertile Orange River and Olifants River regions, ensuring consistent quality and traceability.

The processing facility of Carpe Diem Raisins was established in 2006 to market and export 600tons of raisins and grew from then to be able to process 25000 tons annually.

Located just 10 kilometres east of Upington, Carpe Diem began its journey as a family-owned farm acquired in 1997. What started as a dream quickly transformed into a focused vision — to build a dedicated raisin processing facility for the farm’s own harvest.



By 2006, that vision became reality. The newly completed factory processed 600 tons of raisins in its first year of operation. This early success laid the foundation for growth, soon welcoming produce from neighbouring farms. In 2008, the facility underwent its first major expansion, marking the official launch of Carpe Diem Raisins as a full-scale sourcing and marketing operation.

A significant milestone came in 2015, when the founding family entered into a strategic partnership with KLK Landbou Limited. This collaboration fostered continued development and innovation.

By 2023, KLK Landbou Limited became the sole owner of Carpe Diem Raisins — a testament to a shared commitment to quality, sustainability, and long-term growth.
